History: Growing Together Since 1918
Over 100 Years of Service, Community, and John Deere Heritage
In 2018, Haug Implement Co. celebrated its 100‑year milestone—a century of growing families, crops, friendships, and business relationships. From its early roots in Pennock and Kerkhoven to today’s Willmar and Litchfield locations, Haug Implement Co. has remained deeply committed to supporting agriculture in West Central Minnesota. Four generations later, we're grateful for our loyal customers and dedicated employees who have fueled our continued growth.

Gunder Haug — Founder (1918)
Haug Implement Co. began in 1918 when Gunder Haug took over management of a farmer‑owned cooperative in Pennock. He later purchased the business outright, officially establishing Haug Implement Co.
Donald Haug, Sr. — Second Generation
In 1955, Donald Haug, Sr. purchased the business and, in 1960, relocated it to Kerkhoven. In 1972, he and his son built a new facility and moved the growing dealership to its current location on Highway 12, east of Willmar.
Donald “Butch” Haug — Third Generation
Butch Haug joined the company full‑time in 1964. He became owner and general manager in 1980, guiding the dealership through key expansions and building additions at the Willmar location.
Paal Haug — Fourth Generation
In 1992, Paal Haug, great‑grandson of the founder, joined the business and now serves as general manager. Under his leadership, Haug Implement Co. expanded into the Litchfield area in 1996 and later acquired Quality Power & Lawn in 2006, adding John Deere Lawn & Garden equipment to the Willmar lineup.
Continued Growth & Innovation
Today, more than 100 years after Gunder Haug opened his small shop, Haug Implement Co. remains owned and managed by 3rd and 4th generation family members. Our dealership is supported by a skilled team across multiple departments. We proudly offer the complete line of John Deere equipment tractors, combines, implements, precision agriculture products and the full range of small to mid‑sized equipment such as lawn tractors, compact utility tractors, Gator™ utility vehicles, skid steers, and mini excavators.
